Holy shit that's how our tree box looks. We've had the same tree since about before I was born. And at this point that box is more tape than cardboard, our decorations are in a different one, so old is from one of those giant CRTs that came with a DVD player integrated, and even had basic ass games included in the tv menu

Eerily accurate, except ours got a new box last year. A kind of youth treatment.

I'll have you know this year I threw away the tree's box, after 15 years of service. There were new life forms generating from the rotting cardboard and the layers of tape were thicker than the cardboard itself.
I don't know how I will store the tree from now on though...

I do not lie but our box looks like the same, it is hold together with a belt.
